Caesars To Debut Permanent Sports Books in Atlantic City

Atlantic City is set to get two more new gaming facilities as Caesars Entertainment Corporations plans to debut two permanent sportsbooks on the city’s Boardwalk within the next few weeks. The gaming operator that was reportedly mulling over a sale recently has been making preparation to further its reach in the global gaming industry and it seems solidifying its presence in Atlantic City is part of those plans.

For the forthcoming Atlantic City sports betting operations, the casino operator has invested over $11 million for the development of the facilities at Wild Wild West Casino at Bally’s Atlantic and at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. These gaming facilities had already launched their sportsbooks last summer but these were only temporary – this was shortly after the United States Supreme Court lifted the federal ban on sports betting thus paving the way for the states to decide on their own sports betting rules and regulations.

In fact, Caesars Entertainment Corp. operated one other casino in Atlantic City but this facility does not feature a physical sportsbook. Instead, it is connected to the Bally sports book. As a matter of fact, until it two permanent sportsbooks go live, Caesars will be the only casino in the Boardwalk that does not operate a sportsbook. So, by early June, sports bettors in Atlantic City will be able to have access to some of the best sports betting services in the industry – the Book at Harrah’s is expected to open sooner in within the next two weeks.

Kevin Ortzman, the Regional President for Caesars’ Atlantic City casino resorts, said that their intention with the two permanent sportsbooks is to “create a category-killer in Atlantic City” that will undoubtedly satisfy the decades-long demand for legal sports betting.

What to Expect?

The permanent sportsbook at Bally’s which is expected to go live sometime in early June is set to be the largest of its kind in South Jersey.  The facility will occupy a floor area of approximately 15,000 square feet and will feature a huge LED screen that will be the centerpiece of the sportsbook. In addition to that, the sportsbook will also feature five fan caves which will provide bettors with personalized game-viewing experience, 100 leather recliner, and a self-serving beer wall.

All in all, Caesars Entertainment has been working really hard on strategies to capture the attention of millennials – they are expected to become the largest group in the US within the next few years and that is definitely something that cannot be ignored. Sports betting is going to be a vital component of the global gambling scene in the future which means that early in investments in the space is something that more gaming operators are seriously looking into.
