Wynn Resorts has recently grown in its portfolio in the state of New Jersey by launching a new online sportsbook and casino app. This makes it the latest entrant into the state’s very lucrative online gaming market. It is also the first time that the renowned gaming and hospitality operator is venturing into the iGaming space.

The new offerings actually went live earlier this month albeit in the form of a soft launch that came to an end a few days ago. Thankfully, things seem to have turned out very well and the operator has been given the green light to proceed with full-fledged operations.

As it stands, the offerings are only available on mobile. Still, the operator plans to launch a desktop version of their gaming platform sometime in the future – no date has been specified just yet, unfortunately.

Capitalizing on Sports

Now, Wynn Resorts has built quite a reputation as a casino brand thanks to all of the world-class operations that it has all around the world.  However, for the New Jersey iGaming venture, the operator has chosen to lay more emphasis on the sports betting products. In fact, there is currently no standalone Wynn Casino app. Instead, the online casino offering is presented as a tab that can be accessed from within the operator’s Wynn Sports app.

Wynn’s officials are very excited about the app and they have been talking about all of the features that it has to offer.  For instance, they have said that it will let people find matches faster than ever before. As for the casino app, there are currently just a few slot titles and no table games. However, Wynn has brought Scientific Games onboard which means even more games from the software developer’s OpenGaming platform will be heading over the app.

New Jersey’s Online Gambling Market

Just like in many other states, online gambling in New Jersey rose significantly over the past few months.  In fact, compared to the same period last year, online gambling in the state recorded a significant upward trend. Needless to say, retail gambling suffered quite a bit even though things are beginning to pick not just in New Jersey but across the country. With more interest in virtual sports betting service across the country, it is no surprise that we are seeing this much growth in the sector.

Over the past few months, there has been a number of notable entrants into the state’s iGaming space which goes to show that it is lucrative enough to warrant a lot of interest from operators.
